Thrasher’s Expanding Environmental Team

The Thrasher Group recognizes the importance environmental compliance plays in successfully moving projects forward and improving communities. As a full service firm, we have offered environmental services to assist our clients for a number of years and have steadily expanded our team in response to market needs. This fall Thrasher welcomed three environmental professionals that bring a combined 61 years of experience.

Stephanie Warino, PG, LRS, has 13 years of experience in environmental site assessment, remediation and project management. She has led a wide-range of projects working for clients such as the United States Navy, US Coast Guard, and NASA, to name a few. Stephanie adds another Professional Geologist and Licensed Remediation Specialist to the Thrasher Environmental Division. Stephanie earned both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Geology from Akron University.

David Durofchalk is a Professional Wetlands Scientist (PWS) with 28 years of experience focused on evaluating and permitting natural resource impacts for transportation, energy infrastructure, and private development.  He has worked with esteemed clients evaluating stream and wetland impacts on a variety of large and small projects and has permitted natural resource and cultural resource impacts. His experience has taken him across Pennsylvania and much of the Mid-Atlantic and southeast United States.

Chad Appleman joins Thrasher as a senior project manager in the Canton Office. He brings with him over 20 years of practical experience. Chad’s areas of expertise include wetland sciences, regulatory permitting, threatened and endangered species, NEPA, and site selection and constraints analysis.
