Thrasher Employees Give Thousands of Items to Local Food Banks
The Thrasher Group collected and distributed over 4,000 non-perishable food items and $800 in monetary donations to food banks throughout the region. The employee-led effort was spurred by friendly competition of which office floor or location could collect the most items. With bragging rights on the line, the group more than doubled last year’s company food drive. Additionally, employee monetary donations were matched by Thrasher dollar for dollar.
“It was a truly fantastic effort by everyone,” said Chief Executive Officer Chad Riley. “I’m thankful to be associated with such a great group of talented people who make positive contributions to the communities where we live and work.”
In West Virginia, the items were distributed to the Clarksburg Mission, Clarksburg Salvation Army, The Mustard Seed in Clarksburg, Upshur County Parish House, Marion County Soup Opera, Scott’s Run Settlement House in Morgantown, Blue Jay Methodist Church in Beaver. The Canton, OH office delivered their items to Stark County Hunger Task Force. Finally the Fredericksburg, VA office sent items to Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank.
