Thrasher and Pierpont Community & Technical College offer Inspection Course

Thrasher’s certified instructor will provide training at Pierpont Community & Technical College. The four-day course will be offered October 2-5 and October 16-19.

Pierpont’s Inspector Qualification School was created from a demand within several industries for a training course designed for the polyethylene welding inspector. Thrasher’s Rezin Hudkins, who is certified by McElroy University the industry leader in fusion piping, will explain the theory of butt fusion of polyethylene pipe and the process used to join it.

The course includes the use of inspection checklists and a discussion of the critical factors involved in the fusion welding processes. Topics Covered:

  • In-Depth Analysis of McElroy Data Logger® and Data Logger Vault,
  • Principles of Heat Fusion,
  • Fusion Procedures,
  • Butt Fusion,
  • Socket Fusion,
