Fairmont Senior High School was the recipient of a school bond from the Marion County Board of Education to provide renovations and upgrades to Fairmont Senior High School. The most recent phase of this project cost $4.2 million and included a new media center/library. Normal school operations continued in the school throughout the entire construction period without any delays or interruptions.
The total renovation cost using several funding sources (QZAB, Local, SBA and Federal Stimulus) and programs was in excess of $15 million. Thirty to 50 years of additional life has been put back into the original historical structure.
