Employees Celebrate Thrasher’s 35 Years
The Thrasher Group kicked off their 35-year celebration at their annual company picnic on June 16, 2018. Held at Thrasher’s headquarters in White Oaks Business Park, the picnic was attended by nearly 650 people, including current and past employees and their families.
In 1983, H. Wood “Woody” Thrasher, PE and the late Henry A. Thrasher, PE formed Thrasher in Clarksburg, West Virginia. With a commitment to building business through “successful projects and repeat clientele,” the father-son team joined forces to start a civil engineering firm focused on public utility infrastructure in North Central West Virginia. Since that time, Thrasher has grown from three employees to 527.
“We have grown and added many services to support our clients, but at our core, Thrasher is the same company it has always been,” said CEO Chad Riley. “We work hard for our clients; we care about fellow employees; and we are committed to improving the communities where we live and work.”
Thrasher is an ENR Top 500 firm offering civil engineering, survey, environmental, architecture, and planning services in addition to construction inspection and materials testing services to both public and private clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Thrasher operates nine offices in six states. To learn more about Thrasher, please visit www.thethrashergroup.com.
