Boy Scouts of America’s Summit Bechtel Reserve

Full Spectrum of Services

The Boy Scouts of America spent several years developing the Summit Bechtel Reserve — a world-class facility in Fayette County, West Virginia. The grounds feature bunkhouses, lodges, leadership centers, retail space, dining spaces, outdoor adventure areas, and a host of other state-of-the-art components.

Thrasher had a hand in everything from master planning and site development to materials testing and roadway design. Our firm’s multidisciplinary model elevated the efficiency and quality of the project by contributing services within Architecture, Civil/Site, Transportation, Utility, Survey, Environmental, and Construction Services at the Boy Scouts’ Summit Bechtel Reserve. Some of the projects Thrasher has partnered with for the Reserve include:

  •   JW and Hazel Ruby Welcome Center
  •   Master Plan for the Summit Bechtel Reserve
  •   Pigott Base Camp Bunkhouse & Thomas G. Pigott Dining Hall
  •   Rex W. Tillerson Leadership Center
  •   Harvey Family Mountain Bike Shop
  •   Boy Scouts of America North Entrance Guard Shed
