Meet a Thrasher Engineer: Ashley Reed
What made you want to become an engineer?
I am a NERD! Better yet, an ENGINERD! I really enjoyed math and science growing up and my high school highly promoted women in engineering.
How long have you been working with Thrasher?
Three years
What has been your favorite project you have worked on at Thrasher?
Ripley Sanitary System Improvements Phase II. It is really getting started but I love the complexity and challenge of it.
What has been your biggest challenge as an engineer thus far?
My biggest challenge is learning the most effective way to communicate, especially when several people/parties are involved.
Your most loyal tool: pencil, calculator, or graph paper? Pick one and why.
Pencil. I am a visual learner and being able to write/draw an idea or concept makes a big difference.
