Project Highlights
Our team has an ever-growing portfolio of projects across the state of Pennsylvania and into the greater Mid-Atlantic region. A sampling of some of our recent successes and ongoing projects in the area can be found below:
Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation EQT Recreation Center
Thrasher was hired to oversee the construction of the Greene County Recreation Center located in the EverGreene Technology Park in Waynesburg, PA. This 60,000 square foot recreation facility includes an indoor soccer field, basketball courts, multipurpose rooms, a 6,000 square foot fitness area, and an elevated walking/ jogging track.
Our team provided a variety of services during construction. Our team provided an architectural consultation, including verification of design specifications, inspections, and final inspection of all work relative to the construction and work performed. We also made recommendations in areas concerning contracting and total project coordination. Most importantly, Thrasher performed scheduled site inspections and provided written reporting on items covered during inspection to ensure success of the project.
Confidential Client Water System
The Thrasher team was tasked with the hydraulic modeling, surveying, overall design and permitting for a new buried HDPE water system intended to transfer fresh water from a river intake to well pads up to 5 miles away and flowback water from well pads to a centralized storage facility. The route of the water lines included two (2) necessary horizontal directional drills (HDD) in order to cross local municipal roads and streams at two different locations. The first drill was 600 feet in length and the second was 500 feet. As part of the design work for the HDD, entry/exit angles, pipe bend radius, pull forces required, allowable stresses, and pipe buckling were all evaluated.
