Dan Wheeler, 2018 Distinguished Alumnus Award

2018 Distinguished Alumnus Award – Mr. Dan Wheeler
Mr. Wheeler is a Graduate of Salem University receiving an Associate of Science Degree in 1973 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1975. Along with his degrees from Salem University, Dan has post graduate work in Engineering from Penn State University, in State College, PA.
He is a West Virginia native who has spent his childhood, schooling and working in West Virginia. He has served in the United States Air Force, Andrews AFB, and Camp Springs, MD from 1966 to 1970.
Dan was chosen because of his dedication to Salem University. He has donated his time and resources to help Salem University in many ways. The most recent assistance Dan has provided is through the Drone project.
His most recent professional experience is as the Senior Survey Manager of the Thrasher Group. Dan also has a significant record of service. This includes being a board member of the Harrison County Red Cross.
Dan has noted that Salem University “gave me not only a wonderful education, but as an example and desire to help others who thought their educational dreams could never come true.”
